Friday morning at about 8:30 AM we evacuated school when the fire alarm went off unexpectedly. Madawaska Fire, Police, and Ambulance services were notified and promptly began a sweep of the building. Staff members monitored the students off site while the cause of the alarm was identified. In the end, a faulty pull switch was identified as the cause of the issue. Students returned to the school building at approximately 10:15 AM and classes resumed as normal. Students, Staff, and members of the emergency response team performed extremely well.
