On May 29th, fourth grade students took a trip to Ashland where they released 381 Atlantic salmon in the Aroostook River. Once the release was done, they went to Dug Brook Hatchery, the largest non-profit Atlantic salmon hatchery in the world. Scott Thompson, president of the club, gave them a tour and students had lunch in the lodge. Luckily the weather was beautiful and the students had a great time! See photos here. |
