On Wednesday, on the afternoon of September 20, the 5th and 6th grade students took a trip to the Tante Blanche Museum, located in St. David.
In 2015, the fourth grade students at Madawaska Elementary School produced a Shutterfly book (12 X 12), Acadian Culture in Madawaska, which has been placed in the town library and the Madawaska Elementary School library. A grant from the Maine Acadian Heritage Council was received to educate people in our community about what the Madawaska area has to offer in learning about Acadian culture by placing these books in waiting rooms at businesses in and around our town.  Students also worked on an Acadian Culture scavenger hunt using the books that were purchased.
