On Friday, October 19, Mrs. Tingley's sixth graders hosted a mock election for the position of Maine's governor.  Earlier in the week, Mrs. Tingley's sixth graders presented information about Maine's voting laws, political parties and the candidates to all students at MES.  Students were then better informed when they participated in the mock election.  In the photos you're able to see students being escorted to the polls, being directed to the appropriate registration table, ballot clerks and security guards responsible for the super-secure ballot box.  The students' winning candidate was Mr. Shawn Moody.  The ballot box was constructed by the late Reginald Ouellette of Frenchville and donated by his wife, Mme Bea Ouellette.  Photos were contributed by Mrs. Gina Jandreau's fourth grade class.  Thank you to all who participated.
