Dear Valley United Students, Parents/Guardians, Families and Staff,

In our on-going efforts to keep our students, staff and schools safe and open for in-school instruction, we have partnered with Northern Maine Medical Center and St. John Valley Pharmacy to host Pfizer voluntary vaccine clinics for students between 5-I1 years old at our three Valley United Elementary Schools on the following dates:

Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Madawaska Elementary School at 9:00 am.
Tuesday December 7, 2021 in Madawaska Elementary School at 9:00 am.

These school-based clinics are entirely voluntary and have been arranged for the convenience of our students and families. No child will receive the vaccination without a signed written consent form from their parent(s) or guardian(s). With questions about the vaccination, registering their children for these clinics, and obtaining consent forms, parents/guardians can call or email the School Nurse at their local school.

Valley Unified staff also will be able to receive Moderna and Pfizer booster vaccinations on these clinic dates. School nurses will be providing staff with time and location details in the near future.  We are pleased that our schools have remained open for in-school instruction so far this school year and hope we can keep them open for the rest of the 2021-2022 school year. We believe voluntary vaccination against COVID.19 can help us achieve this goal. Stay safe and be well

Respectfully,

Benjamin Sirois
